My favorite is logmein. I have it installed on all my machines. It is great. You should add it to the review. At the office they have ScreenConnect. My colleagues love it.
Hi Thomas, thanks for your additions. We shall review these in future.
Yes, I agree with Thomas and I am surprised that LogMeIn (LMI) is missing from the list. Folks in our office work from home using LMI just as if they are working on their office PCs. If you ask me, the top in the list wud be LMI follwed by TeamViewer (TV).
Recently started like TV more than LMI bcoz if I try to do a remote login using my samsung galaxy TAB2 – TV works far better than LMI. This means I have my laptopn virtually in my hands (on the move). But yes this information has given me more options to try further …
Cheers!! PaNK
As far as I know DimDim is no longer available. TeamViewer is best for remote support. Other alternatives are hosted services such as logmeinrescue, gosupportnow, GoToMyPC etc. or deploying on premise RHUB or Bomgar remote support appliances.
I used TeamViewer but did not like it. The soft works slow and blocks sessions every 5 minutes. I chose Ammyy Admin (by the way it is not mentioned in the list). It is a multi-task solution used to perform remote server administration, virtual classes, distant assistance, etc. Moreover there is no need to install it or make specific settings. I have a commercial license as Ammyy Admin is the cheapest one. BUT it is absolutely free for home usage.
