Finally the most awaited Amazon.com is here in India as Junglee.com. Amazon is world’s largest e-commence website selling products online. It is present in many countries like USA, UK, Germany, Japan, China etc. Amazon is most popular for their competitive prices of products and exciting offers.  Today Amazon launched their Indian version of site Junglee.com.

It was expected that Amazon may select Amazon.in or Amazon.co.in as their domain name but they surprised us by choosing unique and catchy name. According to Amazon the reason of this name is –

Junglee means ‘of the jungle’. We appreciate how overwhelming it can be to navigate the jungle of products, brands, sellers, shipping options, and payment methods, and make informed purchase decisions. Our team is relentlessly focused on organizing selection and buying options to make it simple for you to navigate this jungle and shop anything using our service. We feel the name reflects our passion to deliver on this ambitious goal.

Junglee is an online marketplace for finding and buying products from online and offline retailers across India. Currently Junglee has more than 1.2 Crore products of  25 categories from over 14,000 brands. They have a huge collection of Electronic items like popular Amazon Kindle. Mobile phones, Camera, Computer. Books, Clothing , Games, Jewellery and much more. At this time Amazon is not directly selling any product due to the FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) restrictions in India. After making product selection you will get seller’s details like phone number, store location and will be redirected to their website for making the purchase. We hope they will soon start selling product along with other sellers.

The introduction of  Amazon in the Indian e-commerce business makes this field more competitive for other similar sites like Flipkart which is one of the most popular online shopping store. Currently Junglee.com is in Beta stage an it don’t have all features of their international sites.
