Cybercrime is increasing day by day.You are not safe while your are online.You need to be very careful and take some precautions to be safe.I’m sharing some basic online security tips –

1.Start with a very common aspect i.e. password. Keep your password in yourself.
Never give it to any one…any intimate one or in any email asking for it.

2.Always make a difficult password containing numbers & characters.
Change it periodically.

3.Use always one Antivirus Software and firewall and update it regularly. Infection by a computer virus is now not only just a personal issue but also enough malicious.Now they are designed specially to steal your personal data like password,credit card no,pin no,anything and everything you type and use your own email to spam.To get rid of it regularly update and scan your machine and remove any unwanted things.
Let’s come to direct online aspects.

4.Email is a nice medium to cheat. Open emails if it is from a known person.Always scan any attachment before download it because they may contain virus.Never answer a email wanting any personal,unprotected data,images of you.Never open a attachment which is unexpected.And always signout from your account.

5.During chat in any social site be careful.Never give personal data to any unknown person you are chatting.Save require info and delete chat history.Give a minimum details in those social networking sites.

6.Many times the pop-ups or plug-ins prompts to tell you about your requirements.These things may be malicious containing infective items.Its better not install from them.

7.Never assured by only seeing security lock for a genuine site.Double-click on the lock to see the certificate and verify whether the name is same as shown in address bar.If not same leave that site.

8.Also there are some greedy methods.Some fake emails can come telling that you have won some prize and wants your personal details including ph. no.or to call you to a number.Never answer them.

9.Check your online statements frequently(specially bank accounts,online shopping accounts).If found not in expect manner immediately block it.

10.Keep eye on your child’s activity over internet.Don’t let them to give any details.

11.Overall educate your family members about this facts.And if you are not confident get suggestion from a very close and believable expert.

Finally Keep your computer up to date and always aware about latest cybercrimes.So not just stay online,but safe online.
